Singing can be fun and easy when you combine a solid, safe and technical approach with a nuturing and joyful atmosphere. Susan-ann Walker has performed for over 25 years. She is well known for her extensive and versatile career in professional Musical Theatre. Menopause the Musical, The Sound of Music, The Secret Garden, Grease the Arena Spectacular and Cats to name just a few! (See About Susan-ann above for further information). She also has experience in Cabaret, Pantomime and Opera. Susan-ann believes that vocal health and versaltility are the keys to a successful singing career. Having performed many years of '8 shows a week', (two shows over 1000 times!), she is well qualified to assist performers in their journey towards 'easier' singing. Singers of all ages and backgrounds, are often victims of self doubt, inexperience, tension and bad habits. With individual work, our goal is to know and trust what is going to come out when we open our mouths to sing. Then we can truly perform with the utmost confidence. Susan-ann knows what it is like to sing tired, sick and emotional. It is not theoretical training, it's practical, useful and exciting!! The Voice Place is a singing studio for adults. Based in Bentleigh, (25 minutes from the city and a short walk from Patterson train station) the Voice Place Studio is a spacious and pleaseant place to sing. Susan-ann has limited individual lessons available, but group classes and workshops are regularly held. (See Workshops above for further details.) Regular performances are held in the studio, for students to put into practise all their exciting work, with student concerts held twice a year at a professional performance venue for experience on a microphone with lighting, professional accompanists and large audiences. |
